A Love Story

MTO is a love story: the love that unites two brothers, their love for two wheels, and their thirst for adventure.

We are two brothers, Quentin and Cyprien, united by our passion for two wheels. We were put on bikes from a young age. In our teens, Quentin even raced mountain bikes at a national level. As for Cyprien, he has always preferred motorized two-wheelers.

Originally from Lyon, we have an incredible playground at our doorstep: forests, hills, lakes, vineyards, the Alps, and even the Mediterranean are just a stone's throw away. This is one of the reasons why we fell in love with off-roading. Today, we split our time between Lyon and Catalonia in Spain, depending on our mood... and the weather!

A Story of Chance

Outside of DH mountain biking (where the descent acts as the engine), we never really had the opportunity to ride together. In fact, Quentin wasn't very confident about having a bike twice his weight on ultra-engaging terrains… until 2019.

It was during the COVID-19 lockdown that we discovered Sur-Ron e-dirtbikes on Instagram. On the very day the stores reopened, we bought two.

It's a DH mountain bike without pedals that descends even on climbs!

It's as agile as a mountain bike, rides like a mountain bike, but climbs like a motorcycle. We were instantly convinced. For the first time, we had found the ultimate machine that everyone agreed on. Cyprien sold his 300cc and Quentin's mountain bike is gathering dust in the garage.

Even Cyprien, at 1.85m, was amazed by the possibilities offered by such a light bike. Especially since riding electric gives us both the adrenaline rush of a two-stroke and the feeling of being immersed in nature.

MTO is on a mission

Agile, light, fast, and stealthy, this bike had it all! However, we quickly felt the need to improve it. We wanted more: more power, more range, better suspension, better brakes, better tires…

So we embarked on a quest for performance. Not only were we able to improve the ergonomics to better adapt the bike to the rider's size and preferences, but we also unlocked the full potential of these machines. Prepared, these bikes are true rockets!

Of course, as enthusiasts, we wanted everyone to enjoy the same experience. After spending so much time looking for technical solutions, we wanted to help the community grow.

Cyprien is an expert in web marketing and Quentin is a web engineer. E-commerce has no secrets for us. We had a passion, a goal, and all the necessary expertise. MTO was born out of necessity: this new discipline needed a specialized e-shop where you can find high-end parts.

Our philosophy is to only sell parts that we would ride ourselves. In fact, 99% of the parts on the site are the ones we ride daily. So you can be sure they are of the highest quality.
