If you have ever had to push your Light Bee because of a belt rupture, you're probably in the right place!

The motor sprocket pairs with the jackshaft sprocket to replace the pulleys that come with the Sur Ron Light Bee as the factory standard. Using a chain instead of the belt is a huge improvement in two ways:

  • it is way more robust than a belt, especially in sandy or muddy conditions,
  • it is more efficient than a belt as it has a smaller contact surface and a lower coeficient of friction.

If you haven't already converted your Light Bee to primary chain drive, we have a Primary Chain Kit that includes everything you need. Our ready to install kit features 13T/30T sprockets as it’s the same gear ratio as the original belt and pulleys. The 14T/32T will give you a slightly increased top speed by reducing the gear ratio.

NB: in order to get a proper chain tension, you either need 14/32 or 13/30 but mixing both sizes would lead to a chain in between two lenghts, hence impossible to properly fit.

What do I need to replace the belt by a chain?

  • a motor sprocket (this part),
  • a reduction shaft sprocket,
  • a chain with 42 links (or 44T for 14/32 sprockets).

Our ready to install Primary Chain Kit features 13/30 sprockets as it's the same gear ratio as the original belt and pulleys. The 14/32 will give you a slightly increased top speed by reducing the gear ratio.

Hi Ross! It uses the exact same insert as the stock pulley so you can use this one, but we don't provide a spare one with the sprocket.

Primary Chain Transmission

Super fast shipping! This 14/32 transmission is a replacement for a 13/30 that was running rough. Absolutely perfect, runs incredibly smooth – a real joy to ride! You don't really feel the difference in gearing compared to the 13/30. Time will tell if the chain lasts longer with the less aggressive angle.
