Hi Would this fit the Talaria factory shock? Thanks 1 Answer
Hey Andrea. Depends, Talaria doesn't produce their own suspensions, so what brand is the shock really?

Suspension is at the heart of modern performance. Great suspensions make the wins, bad ones the crashes.
Most bikes come factory equipped with a medium spring trying to fit everyone's needs. But you're not everyone, are you?
In a coil shock, the spring is in charge of handling the compression behaviour. The higher the spring rate, the less SAG (amount of compression when the rider is on the bike) and the more support for big hits.
On the other hand, a very firm suspension will be less sensitive to small bumps and terrain's irregularities. This is the reason why motocross bikes always have firmer suspensions that their enduro counterpart.
If you feel that your bike's rear suspension is too soft (bottoms out frequently, huge SAG) or too hard (lack of damping), you can adjust the behaviour by switching the coil accordingly.
As a general guideline, you want the SAG to be between 20% and 25% of full travel when you stand on the bike. As an exemple, as we mostly ride enduro, Cyprien uses a 500lbs spring for 75kg (165lbs) whereas Quentin uses a 450lbs for 55kg (120lbs).

For your weight, I'd advise for a 500lbs, it's the sweet spot between support and sensitivity.

Hello there! Yes the spring actually fits the DNM. I have yet to check if it fits the other shocks that they sometimes put on the bike.
